When screenshots are the easiest option
Some apps make exporting a chat awkward or impossible. iMessage, Snapchat and many Instagram chats are often easier to capture with a few screenshots than with a data export. If that is your situation, you can still get a read on the conversation.
On the home page, open the Screenshots tab and add up to 10 screenshots of the chat. Order matters, so add them from the oldest part of the conversation to the newest.
Your images stay on your device
The text is read inside your browser with OCR (text recognition). The screenshots themselves are not uploaded. Only the text you confirm is sent for analysis.
Before anything is analysed, you see the text that was read and can fix it: correct names, repair any mistakes, remove lines you do not want included. Right-side bubbles are read as you, left-side bubbles as the other person.

How it works with screenshots
1. Choose how to add your chat
There are three ways on the home page: an export file, pasted text, or screenshots. For this page, pick the Screenshots tab.
2. Add screenshots and check the text
Add up to 10 screenshots in order. The text is read in your browser. Review it, fix names or mistakes, then continue.
3. Read your free preview
Enter both names and your email, and see the free AI preview. A full report is optional.
What screenshots cannot show
Screenshots usually carry no timestamps, so charts about reply time and time of day are left out of a screenshot analysis. If you want those, an export file gives more detail. You can always use the export option for the same chat later.
Screenshots also only cover the part of the chat you captured. A few screens will show a moment, not the whole story, so read the result with that in mind.
Tips for cleaner results
Capture the conversation in order and avoid cropping out names or message edges. Light mode and normal text size usually read best. If a line is misread, fix it in the review step before analysing.
