Your chat never leaves your browser. Everything is counted on this page; the chat is never uploaded, saved or sent to any server.

How to get a Messenger chat as a file

Facebook lets you download your information from Accounts Center. Choose Messages, pick JSON as the format (not HTML) and skip photos and videos. When the download is ready, unzip it and open the folder named after your crush: the message_1.json inside is the file you need.

Many Messenger chats are now end-to-end encrypted. Messenger keeps those in a separate download on a computer (Messenger settings → Privacy & safety → End-to-end encrypted chats → Message storage). Menu names change, so follow Messenger's current screens. If the free tool cannot read a file, add screenshots on the home page instead.

Tips for a better result

Use a one-to-one chat, not a group: the analysis compares two people.

Long chats give more detail: Facebook may split one chat into message_1.json, message_2.json and so on. Start with message_1.json, which holds the newest messages.

Crush Analyzer gives an AI read of your chat, made for fun and reflection. It is not a guarantee of how anyone feels, and it cannot read minds. Use it as one more point of view, not as a verdict. See also our Privacy Policy.

Questions

Is there a free Messenger chat analyzer?+

Yes. The tool at the top of this page reads your Messenger message_1.json in your browser and shows message share, reply times, who starts conversations, questions and double texts for free. Nothing is uploaded. The AI interest read is a separate free preview after upload on the home page.

How do I download a Messenger conversation?+

Use Download your information in Facebook's Accounts Center, include Messages, choose JSON and skip media. Unzip the download and use the message_1.json from your crush's conversation folder. End-to-end encrypted chats have a separate download in Messenger's privacy settings on a computer.

Can I use the HTML download?+

Not in the free tool. Request the download again and pick JSON as the format.

Can I just use screenshots?+

Yes. Choose the Screenshots tab on the home page and add up to 10 screenshots in any order. Screenshots do not give reply-time data, so an export file gives more detail.

Can I analyze a group chat?+

Will the other person know?+

No. Crush Analyzer does not contact the other person, and the free tool on this page runs only in your browser.

Is the result a guarantee?+

No. It is an AI read for fun and reflection, not a guarantee of how your crush feels.
